Parallel Editorial
What this site collects, how it is used, and how visitors may exercise their rights
Parallel Editorial operates this site as the working publication of a small editorial commission studio. The site collects only what is necessary to understand how visitors arrive and to receive inquiries. It does not run advertising, sell visitor data, share data with marketing networks, or set tracking pixels for any third party other than the analytics provider named below.
Two categories of storage may be set in your browser:
Google Analytics cookies — only after you click Accept on the cookie banner that appears on your first visit. These cookies allow Google Analytics to count distinct visitors, recognize returning visits, and attribute pageviews to a referring source. The studio uses Google Analytics 4 with default settings; IP addresses are anonymized in transit and not stored. The studio does not link analytics data to any other dataset.
A consent-record entry in your browser's local storage — under the key pe-cookie-consent. This stores your accept-or-decline choice so the banner does not re-appear on every visit. It contains only the literal value granted or denied; no identifier, no profile, no tracking value.
Until you accept the banner, no analytics cookies are set and no analytics data is sent. The default state is denial.
If you accept analytics, the data sent to Google includes the page you visited, the page that referred you (search, direct, or another site), your approximate geographic region (city-level, derived from IP), the browser and operating system, and the screen size. It does not include your name, email, or any other identifier you have not chosen to provide elsewhere on the site.
Google retains the data for fourteen months by default and may use it for service improvement under the terms of the Google Analytics Terms of Service and Google's data processing terms. Full details are at policies.google.com/privacy.
If you decline, no Google Analytics tag fires and no data is sent. Consent Mode v2 is configured to default-deny; the analytics tag is loaded only if your stored consent reads granted.
If you use the form on the contact page, your message is delivered to the studio mailbox at hello@paralleleditorial.com via Web3Forms, a relay service. Web3Forms processes the message in transit; it does not retain it. Once received, the message is held in the studio mailbox under standard Google Workspace terms for as long as it remains useful for the inquiry, after which it is deleted on request or at the end of the working relationship.
The fields you submit (your name, email address, organization, and message) are used solely to respond to your inquiry and, if a commission follows, to manage that engagement. They are not added to any marketing list and are not shared with any third party.
You can change your cookie preference at any time by clicking the button below; the consent banner will re-appear and you can accept or decline.
You can also disable Google Analytics globally in your browser by installing the official Google Analytics opt-out add-on at tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout, or by enabling Do Not Track in your browser settings, or by using any standard ad-blocker.
If you reside in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom, or another jurisdiction with comparable data-protection law, you have the right to:
Request a copy of any personal data the studio holds about you.
Ask that incorrect personal data be corrected.
Ask that the studio delete personal data it holds about you.
Receive the personal data the studio holds about you in a structured, machine-readable form.
Object to the studio's processing of your personal data, or withdraw any consent you previously granted (including the analytics consent set through the cookie banner).
Lodge a complaint with the supervisory authority in your country — for example, the CNIL in France, the ICO in the United Kingdom, or the data-protection authority of your member state in the European Union.
To exercise any of these rights, write to hello@paralleleditorial.com. The studio will respond within thirty days. There is no charge for routine requests.
The studio operating this site is Parallel Editorial. The data controller for personal data processed through this site is Parallel Editorial. All inquiries about this notice, about data the studio holds, or about the use of cookies should be addressed to hello@paralleleditorial.com.
